To Market, to Market..!

I had a great first day out at Maldon market. Chuffed to bits to have a pitch and an opportunity to merry meet, I made the most of it. The trusty gazebo doubled up as a shop and Tarot booth and worked a treat. Sheena set up a sacred space for readings...
All very cosy.
I was blessed with glorious sunshine all day and met up with old friends who called in to say hello, as well as making some new ones. Isn’t that what it’s all about? Two lovely ladies came in for readings - one of whom is coming to my Maldon workshop next month –another lady bought a deck of cards and also expressed an interest in the workshop, and many asked was I coming again… Of course I am.

Now fired up with more ideas of what I can offer and looking forward to being a permanent fixture at the market, those creative juices are flowing like crazy!
However, keeping my feet firmly grounded… there’s work to be done!

Party on... Craftys!

What a buzz... Lift off at the Launch party couldn't have sent the Magic out into the world any better. Old friends and new turned up, it was great to put a face and voice to all those who we'd met with online - can't beat a bit of personal as oppose to virtual engagement.
Tracey and Ken worked like Trojans all night behind the counter of Kast Mystical (Tracey escaping behind the curtain for tea and coffee making duties when she could) and their daughter Sharna kindly looking after Lola Puppydog who's behaviour was impeccable until she discovered a cardboard box leading to Australia. Consequently she dug and destroyed.
The raffle was a success with prizes of a Crafty Crones reading, a place on a Magic of Nature workshop and an oracle deck topping the list... People were signing up for workshops (at Kast Mystical) and newsletters and generally showing great interest in the cards and our plans for the future. We were chuffed.
Friends and strangers bought decks - wonderful to know that the cards are now being used by others and working their Magic as we always knew they would.
Crooked and pointy hat off to the enormous and lush chocolate Hedgehog cake which I devoured in an unladylike manner by the plate load. I blame the adrenalin which I wasn't entirely prepared for together with the presentation talk which reduced me to a puddle. Oh well, these things can (and did) happen - we all lose control of the mask sometimes - but what is more important is what really happened that night was *Magical* for us. Three years of heart and soul bursting work ended by a send off party...
Now onto the next stage of the journey ~ teaching, working and sharing in the Magic ~ Let's do it!

After an impromptu telephone interview with the local press and a photographer coming round within the space of a couple of hours - think we managed to scrub up alright. I faffed around with the tablecloth (never goes right when you want it to), lit some candles and grabbed a bit of Rosemary from the garden(flowering as well would you believe?) to basically tart up the table...
The photographer arrived in her wellies but didn't take them off (much to my horror) did a quick and professional job snapping away and then scooted out... bless her. There we were, all over and done in a matter of minutes. Still, good practice for the Launch Party... tomorrow!
Just a bit wobbly... doesn't even begin to describe it.

Autumn speaks...

   AUTUMN ~ Release  ~
The spirit of Autumn symbolises a time of transition and letting go of what no longer serves you. Changes signify all that has been outgrown as parting with the old energy makes way for the new.
What can you let go of? It could be a job, place, a relationship or maybe something on a deeper level that needs to be released. Autumn reminds you in the falling leaves and the failing light of day that it’s best to move on and go with the natural flow of the cycle if you want to remain balanced and grounded in your life.
It’s time to let go of anything that may have helped define who you are – be it a condition, a habit or a belief that simply doesn’t ring true anymore. Are you holding onto any un-forgiveness that keeps you stuck in the past? Release any blame or judgement, make amends where you can and forgive yourself if you are hung up on a guilt trip of any kind - as it will only drain you.
Change is in the air. The soul sometimes struggles through change in order to grow and growth isn’t always comfortable! Autumn teaches that by relaxing your grip on life and letting go of something you no longer need, whatever it may be – something of greater value is waiting.
Embracing the changes helps to accept the soul’s lesson, which is different for all of us but supports and guides our spiritual development in much the same way.
Surrendering to the changing cycle of Autumn brings a lightness of being and colour back to your world. It will heal and liberate your spirit, free your mind and bring your life into balance again.

Magical Mantra
~ I release all that holds me back ~

I hope this resonated for you on some level...

Magical at Kast Mystical...

Yesterday at Kast Mystical... We had some lovely people in for readings and the cards weaved and worked their magic for us all.
The combination of The Magic of Nature Oracle, Tarot and Angel cards brought many levels of awareness to each reading which gave an overall balanced and grounded spiritual perspective for everyone. It doesn't get any better than that, but did...
To top it all, Lola puppy dog who joined us for the day, was extremely well behaved and instead of the distraction she could have been, proved rather more the main attraction as it turned out. Everybody loved her. We didn't mind, such is the Magic of Nature. Consequently, she will be making a guest appearance at the Launch Party next Sunday...
How can you not be there?

A Crafty Day Out

We had a grand day out at the Colchester MBS yesterday at Marks Tey... Armed with plenty of Magic of Nature Launch Party invites, we did a number of circuits round the hall and dished them out to anyone who had a free hand and a listening ear. In the Crafty bag were the cards of course, which we proudly displayed... adorned now with recently finished labels which look exceedingly Crafty.
We bumped into some old friends and met some new ones, made some interesting discoveries and nearly but not quite resisted parting with the sordid coin for the odd magical delight. Crystal earrings and the lovely The Angels Walk With You  book by Marie Winterbone... a Crone's gotta' have them.
After more chatting, a quick coffee pitstop and with handfuls of (other people's)flyers and business cards stuffed in the Crafty bag we legged it out to the broomsticks... it was tipping down. A little soaked perhaps, but our spirit's far from dampened. It has to be said, flying in the rain is greatly underrated.
All in a Crafty day's work.

Crikey...only two weeks to go!
The Launch party is creeping up on us fast and its all systems go in the Crafty office, warehouse and film studio. Sewing hessian bags at knuckle-breaking speed, designing and ordering labels and business cards and just about remembering to feed her children. I am networking like a demon, writing the Pathworking cd for the cards, the Limited Edition certificate, organising workshops and just about remembering to remember what I usually forget.
We had great fun filming in Crafty Woods but we won't mention how many out-takes. Look out for the edited version coming soon with rather a splendid backdrop...
